The Titicut Area

Named for a bend in the Taunton River that is the location of five major excavation sites.

Displays include:

  • Over 1,650 artifacts from sites at Titicut
  • Ulus (semilunar knives) from the Ponkapoag quarry
  • Bull Brook – One of the largest Paleo (over 9,000 years old) sites in New England. (Display on loan from Peabody Essex Museum)
