Peabody Essex Museum Field Trip - June 20

The field trip to the Peabody Essex Museum to visit the new exhibition called “Fiery Pool: The Maya and the Mythic Sea” will be held on Sunday June 20th at 1PM. This exhibition is the first to explore the profound influence of water on the ancient Maya civilization. The Maya lands were surrounded by the sea and so it affected their religion, agriculture and daily lifestyle. This exhibition is a traveling exhibit and will end on July 18 at the Peabody Essex. This will be a group tour and as such will receive a reduced entrance fee of $12. For an even lower fee check with your local library to see if you can get a $5 pass or coupon. We will meet in the entrance/foyer of the Museum, 161 Essex Street,  Salem, MA at 1PM. There is parking in the adjacent parking garage for free on the weekends. See you there.
